if life was a video game, i wonder how many times we would be leveling up.  if we could see each other’s “level” in life skills, i wonder what that number would be above my head.  maybe i’m taking this analogy too far, but it does feel like the more skills we obtain in life, the further we could make it in this game of life.  without cheat codes that give 30 lives, this is all we got and it may require lots of time and hard work.

after this mini-story with so many serious moments, it was important for me to leave it in a very uplifting style.  to me, what makes me happy with this comic strip is the hand gestures of Owen and the simplicity of the single panel.  that’s all it takes to convey the light-heartedness of the situation, despite Ace balling his eyes out.
