just talk
there’s nothing like good ‘ole, straight forward communication. it’s refreshing, like a breeze of perfect spring air when it happens. no need to play games or mind tricks, just simply state how you feel (because the feeling itself is not wrong!) and why, and if you’ve got a good partner, they should be able to reciprocate with understanding. i think it’s amazing sometimes though how some people just can’t openly express what’s on their mind to a partner, and instead rely on a friend. there’s something about habits and who you’ve become in a relationship that makes it hard to break that mold. well, break it. or else the relationship will eventually break you.
artwork-wise, pretty happy with that last panel. i think my recent works of art have had better body posture because i’ve been using live poses. i just gotta stop being lazy and do it much more often. eventually, i assume i’ll get good enough to not rely on them as much. key words are as much. 🙂

Hey Johnny,
Just finished reading all your archives. This is one of THE BEST comics on the web right now. Seriously, it’s right up there with Octopus Pie and Shortpacked!
This strip is honest, sincere, interesting, funny, and well-drawn. Really, there’s nothing pretentious about it, and I love that! Keep up the good work, for a long, long time.
Thanks,
Hg
Yay! Finally the good guy gets the girl and finally the girl stops being full of herself and accepts something good when it comes. Yay!!
I don’t know, seems kinda odd that she would change her mind on a humbug like that. If i were him, i’d be cautious of a girl that changes her mind all willy nilly. Seems like something you’d have your mind made up about.
Great comic strip. Sometimes what could change a girl’s mind is a guy who proves that he is self reliant and manly enough to dare say what’s on his mind and in his heart.
that’s true, sometimes manly means being honest! and thanks for the kind words!
I do believe this is the first time we’ve seen Aly smile
