comic review – City of Glass
the inside cover description states this is one of the “100 most important comics of the century.” if it was, I feel like it was so deep and profound that it went right over my head!
so, the story is about this character that has totally lost his identity and is now living it via various personas. I found the story itself intriguing and by its very nature, was expecting a weird ending.
perhaps the best part of he book was the unique story boarding and story telling via the creative images. not your typical comic book, City of Glass played more like a movie to me where I could visualize the creative flow of the story Paul Auster was telling.
overall, worth the time for the short read, if only to open my mind to more imaginative ways to describe a concept visually.
