whenever i encounter an elderly person who’s married and there’s time for a conversation, i always like to ask the simple question, “what’s the key to a successful marraige?”  and surprisingly, the response back has come back somewhat consistently to not keep score.  no matter who caused the disagreement, or how many times you’ve bent backwards to accomodate, it just doesn’t matter.  the underlying theme is that if you love the person, you’d do anything.  so what’s the big deal with washing the dishes more often or paying more often for dinner.  i guess in the end, for a successful relationship, all that matters is that you love that person and would do anything for him/her.  except give up the remote.

ok, call it lazy or call it creative, i like these one panel shots sometimes.  it gives me a lot more space for something more dramatic and it’s usually so much quicker to make.  now if only i could be funnier!
