i wonder how much we take in when we’re ‘listening’ to our partner. i mean, even when we’re fully focused on hearing them and honestly trying to understand, i still wonder how much gets lost. i think that phrase “being in the other person’s shoes” is very apt during times like this. have you ever really ever taken just 5 minutes to really imagine what your partner is feeling right now. that mean you have to factor in their work life, their social scene, their family, their finances, AND then factor you in. i’ve done this every so often, and not just during harder times, and i think it really puts things into perspective. and for anyone who’s ever put themselves in my shoes, they’d realize – i just want to watch cartoons. 🙂
pretty happy with the way the art turned out this week, with the up shot of park playing video games and more dark shadings. i’ll be learning a new app real soon – SketchBook Pro. my girlfriend and friends pooled their moolah together and got me an awesome ipad, so hopefully this means i’ll be able to do more artwork on the go!
Sketchbook is ok, but when placed next to ArtStudio it’s crap. ArtStudio supports up to 6 layers, has all kinds of tools, effects, and blending options, and can export .PSDs.
hmm, interesting, maybe i shoudl venture out and grab another app!
