in this post, i’ll be showing you sketches from two sketch night’s, from November and December’s Mystery Sketch Theatre<\/a>, hosted at The Geek Easy<\/a> in A Comic Shop<\/a>.\u00a0 and i have to say, it was a rough couple of months.\u00a0 it was very humbling to see such fantastic artwork from others.\u00a0 it was also a pointer to me that i really need to work on female faces.\u00a0 well, as always, we start off with the 30 second warm ups.<\/p>\n

next up are the one minute sketches.\u00a0 if i recall correctly, i’m using the Copic multiliner 0.2mm exclusively here.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

i really need to find my style a bit more.\u00a0 i’ve been told i have very clean lines.\u00a0 simple artwork without too much clutter.\u00a0 well, i’m not sure if that’s a good thing.\u00a0 i think i cut myself short because i’m afraid i’ll muck things up.\u00a0 well, that’s the beauty of these sketch night.\u00a0 i go ahead and try to experiment and see what happens.\u00a0 here are the 5 minute sketches.<\/p>\n

i know for the sketches in December, i wasn’t getting the female face so i decided to focus on the ink shading.\u00a0 i think it turned out alright.\u00a0 next, 10 minute sketches.<\/p>\n

and finally, the contest sketch of the night.\u00a0 in November, it was to incorporate a fairy tale.\u00a0 in December, it was incorporate a Christmas llama.\u00a0 yeah, you read that right.<\/p>\n

needless to say, i didn’t win the contest.\u00a0 so defeated, i left early to cry in my pillow!\u00a0 haha, just kidding.\u00a0 one last sketch from November, focusing on the shiny latex.<\/p>\n
